Our Lab
We utilize systems immunology and artificial intelligence to explore the interaction between the human immune system and cancer in order to personalize and optimize each patient’s cancer care. Our research is highly translational, using imaging, immune cells, and genetic information from patients to further understand how an individual’s immune system responds to various cancer treatments or vaccines, with the goal of providing personalized treatment plans and improving patient outcomes.
Merkel Cell and Melanoma Risk
We use next generation sequencing strategies on individual tumors and big database epidemiology to more accurately predict a patient’s skin cancer recurrence risk.
Systems Immunology in Cancer and Autoimmunity
We employ systems immunology technologies on patient blood and skin samples, providing information that identifies new biomarkers for response to cancer therapeutics and COVID-19 vaccination.Systems Immunology in Cancer and Autoimmunity
Artificial Intelligence
Using artificial intelligence modeling of skin cancer images, we aim to identify skin cancer without performing biopsies.
